Sea Pens onshore

The big storms we are having just now are bringing strange creatures up from the deep water. Twelve of these amazing Sea Pens - Sarcoptilus grandis were washedup om Merimbula Main Beach within a tideline of 50 metres . They ranged from 15 - 32cm in size. Sometimes Merimbula Aquarium has one in its tanks so you can see their real beauty.
