Great Southern BioBlitz 2023 - Events

We close out the Atlas year with a couple of events to tie in with the Great Southern BioBlitz. This year we have a marine focus, come along and learn, record and enjoy our wonderful environment.

Merimbula wharf fish habitat restoration project

This project has been running for some years and ongoing monitoring is being carried out to document the hoped-for recovery of the environment in a specific location cleared of sea urchins. This is a great opportunity to learn more about this important project.

Join us at Merimbula wharf to document the marine biodiversity above and below the water on Saturday 25th November as part of the Great Southern Bioblitz.

Learn how to use iNaturalist on your phone. Divers, snorkelers and reef ramblers welcome.

RSVP essential to info@atlasoflife.org.au , please indicate whether you will be diving, snorkeling or reef rambling.

You will need all your own equipment and be comfortable in the water. If the weather conditions are not suitable at Merimbula, we will use Kianinny Bay at Tathra as an alternative.

An email to confirm event location will be sent to all those who RSVP.
